URIJIRO
#1/200

LIMITED EDITION OF 200
Dunhill Namiki Limited Edition fountain pens are crafted by hand, taking over three month to complete and involving as many as eighty processes. Every pen is a work of art, as the artist's signature proudly testifies, and an example of Japan's ancient culture.
This pen depicts Japanese Ferns adapted from traditional Japanese designs. In Japanese design, natural forms are pared down to express their essence or spirit, "Urajiro" is an evergreen fern found in Asia. It has large distinctive leaves, split in two. Urajiro is considered to bring good fortune, its leaves used as New Year's decorations. The delicacy of the fern is blended with the lacquering technique which mirrors the ferns quality of endurance.
The pen is presented in lacquered, ash wood cases with a numbered certificate of authenticity signed by Richard Dunhill together with a crystal inkwell specially commissioned for this collection.
Only 200 Urajiro pens exist.
