In 1919 SYUNICHI NAKATA founded the pen company which would become PLATINUM PEN. In the 1930's, inspired by NAMIKI'S success, he created a group of top MAKI-E artists, who would rival the craftsmanship of NAMIKI. Many of the pens offered here are in LAMBROU'S "FOUNTAIN PENS OF THE WORLD"
